Broken Glass Productions (BGP) Ltd creates performances that represent trauma lived experiences. Those taboo issues lived by many in our society, yet remain under-represented, are at the core of our creative process.
Anna Sharp, BGP company director, is a survivor of both childhood SA and adult DV. Her personal experience as a survivor of trauma led the creative process for #Look@Me.

#Look@Me Synopsis
16 year old Alisha is your typical teenager. She has a group of friends, enjoys school but under the surface she is harbouring a terrible secret. Being a product of an affair, she is shown everyday, behind closed doors that she was a mistake that was never supposed to exist. Now battling with motherhood, in a desperate attempt to make things right and feeling like she has no one to turn to, she plans a dangerous way out.
Our story starts on a typical Thursday morning, but the events of that day will start a chain of events like no other. As we follow Khaleel, Matthew, I'Tisha, Teresa, Isaiah and Elizabeth attempting to understand the seriousness of what is unfolding around them, we will also see families trying to keep family secrets from becoming exposed, as they navigate the situation, which will have lasting implications. Ruben the counsellor, PC Locke, PC Stewart and PC McIntosh try to locate the whereabouts of Alisha's missing baby and uncover the horrors that the generation before them are living. Unearthing alcoholism, domestic and sexual abuse, body dysmorphia, racist ideations and neglect, these families are coming apart at the seams .
Ruben's attempts to control the panic of the young people in the centre, will cause him to be triggered and memories of his own childhood have him face the demons he has tried so hard to outrun. Truth time draws near and certain families will never be the same again.
